Transport of animals in Canada....sadly lacking

Its so aweful seeing these animals being transported. I live in Windsor Ont Canada and I see this all the time on Huron church rd on route to be slaughtered in the USA. Alot of times traffic is backed up in sweltering and fridgid temperatures for hours on end at this border crossing.
I have written my mp and collected signatures for humanefood.ca who is potitioning the house of commons to change animal transport laws. However, I want to do more. Any suggestions?

Thank you for your comments. How very sad it is to watch these animals being treated so poorly. I was going to suggest "humanefood.ca" as a contact but you already know about them! You could email them "Twyla" & ask what else could be done i.e. filming, documenting these long waits in hot/cold weather. We see the trucks here in Toronto but only passing through. Seeing them at the boarder might be helpful.

I'm from Windsor too, and i completely agree. With Ontario's weather it's absolutely ridiculous that our non-human fellow earthlings should be transported this way.
